James Proctor is the Founder and Managing Partner of Proformance Consultants. As a trusted advisor to IT and Business Executives, James is a Project Management thought leader with over 20 years’ experience implementing and leading Enterprise Program Management Offices with an emphasis on building trust and value by approaching Project Management from a strategic mindset.

James started Proformance Consultants in 2020 to help organizations align their Project Portfolio Management capabilities to its Strategic goals and enterprise level project investments. 

“In today’s everchanging business climate, it is not enough to just successfully deliver projects on-time and under-budget.” James says. “One of my top priorities is making sure that clients are investing in the right projects and that they align to their overall business objectives.”

Prior to starting Proformance Consultants, James was the Vice President of Program Management for First Health Consulting and also served in Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) leadership positions for Deloitte Consulting and IBM Watson Health.  As an expert in Strategy and PMO organizational design, some of his large commercial, government and non-profit clients include American Airlines, Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, Baylor Scott & White, Department of Veteran Affairs and CVS Caremark.

James earned an MBA and a BS in computer science magna cum laude from Dallas Baptist University.  In addition, he has been PMP certified since 2000 and is a Certified Scrum Master, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and has a graduate certificate in Operational Excellence from Case Western University and a graduate certificate in Healthcare Administration from Harvard University.  James lives in the Atlanta area with his wife Marcela and has three children; Allison, Daniela and Sara.
